Having made an action packed debut in Bollywood with Heropanti, Tiger Shroff is currently busy with his next projects in the pipeline. However, the actor will be bestowed with an honour for his debut film.
Tiger Shroff will be receiving the honorary 5th degree black belt at Mumbai on July 30. Kukkiwon -World Taekwondo Headquarters (part of the South Korean Government) decided to present Tiger with this honour after the officials saw him doing some stunning action sequences and martial arts in his Bollywood debut film Heropanti.
Prior to this, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tiger Shroff stated that he has been into martial arts since childhood and acting is just the consequence of it. "Since childhood, I used to be into martial arts, gymnastics and I still love dancing. I had a lot of film offers since young age, so I thought, why not transfer my skills into this industry and do a role that helps me utilize all of my strengths," Tiger Shroff had said.
We also hear that the reason behind acknowledging his action skills is that Kukkiwon believes Tiger Shroff is the ideal youth icon as he will inspire children and women to take up martial arts and self defense training in order to protect themselves.
An excited Tiger Shroff has humbly accepted this privilege and stated that he was invited by this committee mainly because martial arts is a way of life for him and his true passion. However, Tiger feels that he doesn't deserve it since he is too young and has a lot to learn.
Tiger Shroff who was last in Sabbir Khan's Heropanti and will be doing his next with the director again. The film will again be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala since he has signed a two film deal with him. However, post that, Tiger will be seen in a dance thriller which will be directed by choreographer turned filmmaker Remo D'Souza and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
Speculations are on a rise stating that Ranveer Singh, who is a good friend of Deepika Padukone, decided to do a cameo in the English language film Finding Fanny because Deepika is playing the female lead in comic caper. However, denying all these rumours, Homi Adajania has a different story to tell.
Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of Deepika Padukone's dead husband. Since the role is minuscule, Ranveer Singh decided to do this special appearance without charging any money for it. Homi Adajania reveals the story behind him playing the role of Gabo in Finding Fanny saying, "Ya! Ranveer is a friend man, so he did it for a laugh! We were sitting around and I was telling him the story of Finding Fanny and he said I'll play Gabo (the character) - he was laughing but was dead serious."
He further added, "I told him that I'd need him in Goa for half a day of shoot but we all had so much fun that he ended up staying for over a week after he was done." Talking about Ranveer Singh's enthusiastic nature, Homi says, "Ranveer's energy is infectious and when the material is right, I know we'll be able to create some magic in a film someday."
Homi will be crediting Ranveer's cameo as a short-lived appearance in Finding Fanny. The film is a comical story about five people who venture out to find Stefanie Fernandes (Fanny). In the process, they discover a strange sense of solace and love among each other, and end up seeing a point to their previously pointless lives.
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Maddock Films, Homi's Finding Fanny also stars Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and is slated to release on September 12 in English and Hindi.

It has become a trend of sorts that just few days before a film's release, get caught up in controversies and legal tangles owing to certain groups or organizations, who claim the content in the film to be offensive. While recently Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela had to undergo a title change considering some Gujarati communities and Hindu organizations raised objection over it, the next film on the radar is Singham Returns.
Singham Returns has recently been accused of portraying Hindus in a bad light by the Hindu organization, Jan Jagruti Samiti and thereby, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has been asked to delete certain shots from the film.
However, Ajay Devgn who plays Bajirao Singham in the film has reacted to this sudden outburst. "This happens in our country. You can't do anything about it. Unless they have not seen the film, how can they decide over anything," said Ajay Devgn in a Bollywood Hungama exclusive video interview on the demand for ban on Singham Returns by the Right-Wing group Hindu Janajagruti Samiti alleging that the promo of the film depicts Hindu saints in a wrong light. "We are not implying that every Guru is corrupt. Why don't they understand that Bajirao Singham himself is a Hindu and there is a shot of him praying in the promo as well? Nobody has any right to judge anything till they see the film."
There have been several incidents in the past when any random group has threatened a ban on a film and sometimes caused serious harm to the business of the film. The film industry fails to take a strong stand against such hooligans. "I think there's a lack of unity (in the film industry) and that goes for the whole country as well. Something similar happened with me for Son Of Sardaar also. When they saw the film, they found nothing wrong. We work hard day and night and are putting money and effort in a film. Nobody can just stand up and decide that they can create problems for a film," Ajay said defiantly.
